Peace of mind is but
A gentle distraction
For confusion to set in to
Slipping quickly hope to fear
As eyes misty grey blue fine
Roll down thundering pain
Silent Storms alone
From those shattered feelings
Taking pieces of her as they go
While she fights to breath
Inside only able to scream,

"Hold me tight,
Make the nightmares go away,
I can't take it anymore!"

Echoing merely A tortured soul
And a past that won't let her go.....

Thank you dear
that was the saddest poem ive ever written. That pain is a life long pain many women have inside them, that is hard for a man to relate to when a woman has been abused(which is what the poem is about). A friend of mine asked me to write down to express what she really feels deep inside her so i did and when the poem was finished she cried cause she felt i did understand her pain.
I was debating if this poem should be posted.
